Emergency Medical Technician(EMT)

The Boles Fire Protection District Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course prepares students with knowledge and the skills to provide basic level emergency care in the pre-hospital setting. The class begins tentatively January 4, 2027, and ends on/or around May 6, 2027. Class will meet every Monday evening from 6pm-9:30pm, alternating Thursday evenings (6pm-9:30pm) and Saturdays from 9am-4pm.

Some virtual classes may also be needed, requiring students to have internet access with camera accessibility. 

 

Students will be more than prepared to sit for EMT practical and written testing that will credential you as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician.

Students will learn:

  • Emergency Care for Cardiac Arrest

  • Trauma Emergencies

  • Pharmacology for Emergency Care

  • EMT Operations

  • Pediactric Emergencies

  • Geriatric Emergencies

  • CPR

  • ​Incident Management

  • Vehicle Extrication & Special Rescue

  • Oxygen Administration

  • Airway Emergencies & Management

  • Safety and Wellness

  • Cardiovascular Emergencies

  • Patient Assessments

  • Transport Operations​
